Golf Clubs : Responsibility of the Club

Most golf clubs are managed by the election of a committee or council, supported by a number of sub-committees. In the management of health and safety, the committee is responsible for ensuring that:

  • Employees, members and visitors are familiar with the club's safety policy and the arrangements to implement it
  • All employees are competent, trained and aware of the hazards involved in carrying out their allocated duties
  • Safety equipment is properly used and maintained
  • Working practices are regularly reviewed to improve health and safety
